Washington, United Kingdom Penderels Trust Full time

**Job Ref SUN15919MB3 - Washington, Tyne and Wear, NG38**

**About the Employer**

I am the employer and mother to my son who has been allocated a direct payment for a PA to support and enable him to access social activities within the community and provide me with a break from my caring role as I have 3 other children with needs. My son has a diagnosis of Autism /ADHD and learning disabilities, he is pre verbal and recognises the use of Pecs and Makaton, however he is able to communicate through gesture and finds it easy to communicate what he wants, likes or needs. This becomes more easy to identify as and when someone gets to know him. My son is extremely vulnerable and energetic, so will require close supervision 1-1 at all times. He does not require any personal care and manages this effectively himself. He does not have ability to identify risk to himself or others so will require clear instruction and supervision. He is very sociable with others and enjoys being around his peers, so activities that allow him to burn of energy and the outdoors is extremely important. He loves most activities associated to his age, particularly swimming, being outdoors, going to parks as he is quite sociable with others He enjoys eating out and having 1-1 attention.
