You will be part of Vestas Power Solution - Blade Quality. The main scope of the department is to deliver blade module quality and improvements with the technical delegation structure within the module by reducing COPQ & Design Right First Time. The departmentworks within design engineering, utilizing quality tools and expertise to enable CLQ of CIM/NC cases coupled with supporting appropriate design choices to secure design right first time through risk mitigation.
The blade quality team consists of 22 highly skilled designers and specialists located globally in India, Denmark, Portugal, England and the United States of America. We are enthusiastic engineers working with risk management, quality improvement and NDT development.This team of highly motivated engineers works to create the most cost-effective solutions for the demands of the wind turbine industry. **Responsibilities**:
As a Quality Engineer, you will be working on reducing the cost across the value chain encompassing the full blade lifecycle i.e design, on-going production and during turbine operation. Furthermore:

- Foster quality culture and design right first-time approach
- Ensure identification of critical issues by prioritizing improvement project tasks to prevent COPQ - via utilization of Six-Sigma
- Implement quality improvements - identify and control risk, maintain and improve relevant procedures and tools
- Handle CIM RCA & improvements, non-conformities & closed loop quality tasks and activites
Qualification
To be suitable for the position, we expect you to have:

- 3+ years of experience in quality/blade module
- Relevant Engineering degree from Quality, Mechanical, Production, Electrical or Chemical
- Six-Sigma Black Belt is benefit to have or green belt with aspiration of achieving your black belt
- Good understanding of the link between design, manufacturing and relevant tools
- Effective communicator with a high level of English skills - verbal and written

Additional Information
Your work location will be at Vestas West Medina Mills, UK.
You can expect up to 10 days of travel per year.
