Childcare Practitioner

**_We are excited to offer the position of Childcare Practitioner at our busy Nursery and Before and After School provision in Cannock._**
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our company which runs five settings including day nurseries, wraparound nursery settings and out of school clubs.
**Hours**
You will be working 30 hours a week between the hours of 7.30am - 6.00pm (shifts will vary from week to week), Monday to Friday during term times, plus additional hours for meetings, planning, etc. Additional hours may be available during school holidays, if required.
**Key Purpose of the Role**:
- To work in partnership with fellow colleagues to create an effective team and be fully involved in all activities associated with the setting.
- To assist in the planning, preparation and to participate in a range of activities that promotes each child’s physical, intellectual and emotional needs to enable each child to reach their full potential.
- To help children acquire self-help skills, including dressing, feeding, toilet training and an awareness of personal hygiene as an important element of planning to support learning, development and independence.
- To act as key person for a group of children, by observing, monitoring and accurately recording each child’s individual development, where appropriate.
- Ensure that all your key children have an accurate, up to date record of their learning and achievements.
- To assist in the provision of an environment that is warm and welcoming, fostering an open door policy at all times.
- To build strong, friendly and professional relationships with the children and their families, encouraging the involvement of parents at all levels.
- To develop a good collaborative relationship with the schools and teachers we work with; ensuring relevant information is shared.
- Be proactive in the use of reflective practice to help develop and improve own practice and working environment.

**Qualifications, experience and skills**
- You **MUST** hold a full and relevant Level 2 or 3 childcare qualification.
- You should have good communication skills.
- Be approachable, reliable and trustworthy.
- Be enthusiastic and motivated.
