Metal Sorter

Tandom Metallurgical Group Ltd are seeking an experienced metal sorter to form part of the team at our newly established facility in Derby. The site is due to open in March 2023 and serves as an expansion of the existing trading division of Tandom, which deals with many varied grades of special metals.

Duties of the role include:

- Handling incoming materials both manually and using a variety of mobile plant.
- Sorting and grading materials using XRF analysis.
- Accurate recording of information including weights and chemical composition.
- Maintenance of a safe working environment.

No formal qualifications are mandatory for the role but a level of previous experience in superalloys, titanium and other exotic metals is considered essential. Similarly, experience in operation of handheld XRF analyser, FLT, grab and wheeled shovel loader are desirable although full training will be provided. A good level of literacy and numeracy is also required to understand and accurately record information.

The situation is 40 hours per week Mon-Fri and is paid at a rate of between £22.500 and £28,000 dependent on experience.

**Experience**:

- metal sorting: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- FLT licence or previous experience (preferred)
- grab licence or previous experience (preferred)
- wheeled shovel loader licence or previous experience (preferred)
