Phlebotomist

5 x 4 hour morning shifts over 7 days which will include a Saturday or a Sunday and some Bank Holidays
For this role it is necessary that you are a caring and courteous individual that can work under pressure in a challenging environment on a variety of; medical, surgical and acute wards in addition to outpatient clinics and community outreach services.
The post will be based at Wythenshawe Hospital however you will be required to work between Wythenshawe and Withington sites and provide a phlebotomy service to General Practice surgeries on a rotational basis; as such it is essential that you have a full UK driving licence and a vehicle insured for business use.
The post holder will provide phlebotomy using an Electronic Patient Record system (EPR) and therefore required to be a confident user of IT systems and keyboard skills.
You will be required to have a flexible approach to working hours which will include weekends and bank holidays.

Phlebotomists take blood samples via venipuncture from In
- patients based at Wythenshawe Hospital working as part of the Phlebotomy Team. The role will also require the Phlebotomist to work in the community supporting the CCG in the collection of blood samples at local GP surgeries.
On Occasion the Phlebotomist will be required to work at Withington Community Hospital to work in the busy outpatients department.
