You will be working as part of a team whereby support and training will be provided. Secondments welcomed

The role of the Research Practitioner is to assist with the coordination of clinical trials and research studies within this area. As a Research Nurse /Allied Health professional, you will be responsible for assessing and managing the care pathways for patients and carers participating in research studies, facilitating high standards of nursing care and promoting the continuity of care of patients involved in these trials alongside a Band 6 Research Nurse/Allied Health professional.

This will involve recruitment, education and monitoring of trial patients and the collection and documentation of accurate research data, all of which must be managed in accordance with ICH, GCP and the EU Directive on Clinical Trials.

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT) provides hospital services to around 570,000 people living in Hampshire and parts of West Berkshire, and specialist services to patients from all over the country. We deliver a full range of district hospital services in a variety of locations.

The post holder will be expected to develop relevant skills and knowledge relating to clinical trials, research methodology and requirements of local, national and international research regulations. You will work collaboratively with the wider multi-disciplinary team in the management of your caseload of clinical trial patients. You will promote continuous improvement in the care of research participants and the quality of research data.
