Tube Bender

**Role Overview**

Based in Andoversford, Astor-Bannerman manufactures, supplies, installs and services specialist bathing and lifting systems for the disabled and elderly. We have a 30-year track record as a market leader in our field and we have an ambition to grow.

The Tube Bender is responsible for the day-to-day running of the CNC Tube Bender, ensuring all products are manufactured to the build and quality requirements, whilst ensuring all items are delivered by fabrication within the agreed SLA’s and KPI’s.

**Main functions and responsibilities**
- Experience in Tube bending required/essential.
- Must be able to understand and work from drawings, specification patterns, reading/geometric tolerance interpretation.
- Mechanically inclined and experienced in metal fabrication and machine operation.
- Computer and CNC control experience helpful, but must be willing and able to learn quickly
- Capable of repetitive lifting
- Responsible for operation, loading and unloading material and parts, proving programs, operating controls, setting bend angles, deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.
- Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products, sequence of operations and set up requirements.
- Notching of pipe, drilling and fettling of mild and stainless-steel tube.
- Ensure productions rates are met or exceeded.
- Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
- Dry powder spray painting experience advantageous
- Various other duties
