PEAK's commitment is to provide outstanding delivery, training, support and resources for schools to ensure that their delivery of physical education provides their pupils with an enhanced and academically rewarding programme of physical education and physical activity. We are looking for an early educator apprentice who would like to develop a career in childcare whilst completing a level 3 qualification in early years with PEAK apprenticeships. This job involves travelling between our 4 sites in Blyth and 1 in Longbenton. Apprentices must therefore have a driving licence and be happy to travel as required.

**Key person responsibilities**:
To help ensure each child feels safe and secure

Observes each child and shapes their learning experience to reflect their observations

Helping out with activities with the children

Setting up activities and clearing them away

Ensuring that the environment is kept clean and tidy

Helping out at meal times

Greeting parents and children

Ensuring any relevant paperwork is completed

Work with children, individually and in groups to assist and improve their development

Attend training sessions and meetings relevant to the post

Other general duties as and when required

Desired Qualifications: GCSE maths and English at grades 4/C or above or equivalent

**Hours: Min 30 hour week. Hours could be between 8:30-6pm. Expect to be working until 6pm every night to cover wrap around care. Must have a driving licence and be willing to travel between Blyth/Gateshead/Longbenton**

**Duration: 18months**

**Start date: Immediate**

**Apprenticeship time: 6 hours per week. Fortnightly training either online or in your workplace.**

**Starting wage: £5.28 per hour**

**Future potential: Permanent contract at £15 per hour to manage wrap around care minimum 15 hours per week.**
