An opportunity has risen for a **Bid Writer** to join our busy Bids and Marketing Department, based at our offices in Lincoln. The role offers an exciting opportunity to become a valued member of our close-knit team, which is responsible for producing project-specific and framework bid submissions to win work for our divisions and to secure construction contracts with new and existing clients across a variety of sectors.

Reporting to our Group Frameworks and Bid Manager, the role involves producing and collating information from both our tender library and liaising with colleagues as required to produce high-scoring, comprehensive, and well-presented submissions (including Tender Submissions, Prequalification Questionnaires, Expressions of Interest, bespoke bid responses and Feasibility Reports). You will also assist with wider business activities as required, presenting project proposals to clients, attending client meetings, and following up on project leads.

**Main responsibilities include**:

- Downloading PQQ/ITT information from a range of construction tender portals.
- Communicate with construction divisions about expressions of interest.
- Arrange and lead on project and framework bids.
- Produce bid plan and communicate to divisions.
- Produce bid programme and agree with divisions.
- Produce answer plans and communicate with divisions.
- Lead on bid strategy launch meeting (with Contracts Manager, Estimator, Designers)
- Write text for submission quality responses.
- Review responses drafted by bids team and divisions and provide feedback / support.
- Submit clarifications and update project bid team of impact.
- Add bid to design template.
- Submit bids through the relevant portals.
- Use feedback for continual improvement.
- Produce new case studies and make bespoke alterations to existing case studies.
- Arrange post tender review meetings with bid team.
- Update bid library with best responses.

**What we’re looking for**
- Have previous experience in a similar role. Experience in construction and/or pre-construction is essential.
- Have excellent writing skills - and enjoy writing
- Be meticulous with strong attention to detail and proof-reading skills.
- Be highly organised and able to prioritise a high workload to meet deadlines.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be confident, proactive, and able to work on own initiate.
- Have excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Publisher, PowerPoint and Excel) and preferably experience using Adobe InDesign software although training will be given.
- Have a full driving licence, as the role involves travel to our sites and other offices.
