Early days private day Nursery is based in the heart of Formby, we are looking to recruit a level 3 or above qualified Early years Practitioner. The successful applicant will need to have a passion for childcare and a desire for working and learning in an innovative environment. We are always looking for an individual who can make a difference to provide the highest level of care and education. At Early Days we are looking for the successful applicant to be a dynamic practitioner who shows a true flair in what they do, new ideas are always welcome here and any fresh approach to help children thrive with a wide range of exciting and stimulating activities.
- Do you have the relevant qualifications and have at least 12 months experience working at Level 3 or above?
- Are you an energetic and innovative individual and enjoys working in a creative setting?
- Are you able to work to high standards and use your initiative as required by the job?
- Are you in tune with a child’s interests and able to capture those “teachable” moments, while inspiring awe and wonder in each individual child to extend on their learning and development outcomes?
- Do you have experience of In Moment Planning?
- Do you have experience of taking responsibility for key children’s learning development and can monitor, assess, and record children’s outcomes? Can you evaluate and plan challenging yet fun next steps?
- Do you have excellent literacy and communication skills?
- Are you able to empathise with team members, parents, and children? From this are you able to demonstrate the correct attitude in varying day to day situations?
- Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment in which requires “on your feet thinking”?
About us
Here at Early Days, we are a large and busy private day care facility, we offer the highest standard of childcare to our families ensuring the best quality staff and facilities. Based in the heart of Formby, we are always utilising our natural surroundings with our forest school qualified practitioners.

Early Days prides itself on the high level of service we provide, we find it critical to value and give back to our local community, we are always exploring our local village and taking part in any activities such as the Remembrance Day service, Easter fun days and links with local care homes. We strive to help the development of young minds to be conscientious and supportive members of our local community as they grow up. We are also massively into promoting a healthy active lifestyle, our children regularly use the local tennis clubs and yoga facilities whilst enjoying homecooked balanced meals and snacks prepared by our on-site Chef.
- The nursery is open from 7.30am till 6:00pm and working hours will be varied between these hours. We work 10-hour shifts offering a 30-minute paid break. The post is for 30-40 hours per week (spread across 3-4 workdays)._ _We have excellent commuter links with a main bus route on our doorstep and two train stations within a 15-minute walk from the Nursery. _
