DESCRIPTION DU POSTE

Assystem are recruiting for a Workface Planner to join us in our teams working on Hinkley Point C. This is a fantastic leadership position that would suit a multi-disciplined engineer with a process or mechanical background, ideally with leadership experience and experience of plant installation and commissioning.

The Workface Planners / Building Integration Leads will be responsible for considering all aspects of the planning of a designated section of the works on the Hinkley Point C project. This will involve conducting integrated and cross-cutting coordination reviews of construction preparation, looking at arrangements in detail from wider perspectives to provide oversight, ensuring pre-requisites, dependencies and constraints are managed in a balanced and integrated approach to ensure the activities on the site run safely and smoothly and in accordance with the project schedule.
- Advocating safe and effective planning of works for site construction.
- Ensuring that conventional and nuclear safety considerations are recognised as essential to the success of the project and built into the planning processes.
- Identify risks and developing mitigating options in sufficient time so as not to impact the construction site performance
- Supporting development of a construction execution plan
- Understanding that the work processes are governed by processes and procedures and working to ensure they are adhered to
- Developing detailed access routes for personnel and equipment, identifying suitability of the access routes, impacts to other work activities and identification of temporary access openings for equipment installation, specifically within their area, and the interface into adjacent areas
- Working closely with the design and procurement groups to conduct constructability reviews to ensure realistic construction expectations are realized
- Fostering and promoting Area Management collaboration between Delivery Optimisation, Project Controls, MDT team members and supply chain partners
- Implementing a construction readiness review process on work scope packages based on complexity
- Participates in the PM led gateway review process to ensure that packages are complete and will allow construction to complete the work scope efficiently
- Maximizing the knowledge gained from lessons learned from previous projects and utilizing the project lessons learned programs for experiences from FA3, Taishan, etc.
- Promoting the schedule development with a construction focused approach
- Integrating the supply chain partners’ resources to maximize their expertise and skill set when developing the schedule and construction strategies to ensure schedule ownership and best practice implementation
