This summer, an incredible opportunity awaits you to join our prestigious production team. In order to support our busy Assistant Directors’ Department, we regularly offer short-term and long-term contracts to cover the Runner role.

**The role**

Following a successful period of time working in this role you may be offered a further contract to train and work in the capacity of 3rd Assistant Director. You will then have the skill base to rotate between these two roles as and when required.

When you leave us you should have gained the knowledge and skill-base to confidently work across a variety of dramas in a freelance capacity and retain links in the ITV Talent Pool.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Our Production Runner role is an entry level position which will involve working in a fast paced environment as well as out on location, supporting our 3rd AD and 1st AD during the rehearsal and recording of scenes
- Helping set up a filming unit and ensuring the smooth-running of simultaneous multiple units on the shooting day.
- Support the AD department as they work their way through a demanding production schedule with tight deadlines
- Keeping team members informed of any changes/problems during the day.
- Escorting cast and S/A’s to and from set / location.
- To be able to read and understand the call sheet, particularly artiste call times, background artistes, action vehicles and any crossovers with other units.
- To ensure scripts, plans and call sheets are available for the crews.
- Assist in all areas of production when necessary and be familiar with all roles involved with the production

**Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)**
- Minimum 1 credit working as a Runner in TV or Film Drama.
- You will also be a diplomat - absolute discretion and confidentiality is a requirement.
- You will have the ability to work under pressure, work long and unsociable hours in both a studio and location environment (often during inclement weather conditions) and be prepared to change your working pattern at short notice.
- A manual driving licence is preferable (or equivalent arrangements as part of a reasonable adjustment where a disability has been disclosed).
- You may be required to lift equipment needed for production - you must have experience of, and are happy to, lift items safely. These may be heavy and/or awkward in size or shape.
- Familiar with google suite (Word / Excel / Gmail)

- Administration skills and attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm for the industry and passion for Continuing Drama.
- Ability to use your own initiative and solve problems quickly under pressure.
- Adaptable team player with great communication skills.
