**What is the key purpose of this role?**

**Job Purpose**

To support the Procurement Manager and contribute to the success of NTS by ensuring that all Sourcing requirements within the Transport & Logistics Category are delivered in a compliant and timely manner and act as the deputy to the Procurement Manager as operational requirements dictate.

To develop sourcing strategies and run compliant tenders in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations that deliver solutions which improve value from our Suppliers whilst reducing risk and in line with the category plan.

To provide contract management support to operational managers of a number of suppliers to ensure delivery of required services and management of any performance issues/disputes and identify areas to unlock value and introduce new innovation.

**Principal Accountabilities**

**Key areas**
- Develop Sourcing Strategies for Bronze Procurements and provide support to the development of Silver and Gold Procurement Sourcing Strategies within your category;
- Organise market engagement events and collation of market insight for the Business for your respective category;
- Leading and managing multiple Tenders in compliance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (PCR’s) and NTS Procurement Processes;
- Act as Tender Assessment Team secretary as required by the Procurement Manager;
- Create and issue out Purchase Orders in line with delegations;
- Provide Contract Management support to the Business for your respective Category;
- Ensure that NTS meets its legislative, regulatory, customer and stakeholder obligations at all times;
- Represent NTS at various forums as required;
- Ensure that all contracts recommended for signature meet NTS processes and procedures ensuring all required functions have bought into the process.
- Ensure the provision of robust Management Information to ensure all required reporting is delivered in line with stakeholder expectations
