**Job Title: ICT Infrastructure Engineer**
**Locations:Portishead - BS20**
**Contract Type**:Permanent**
**Work Pattern: 37 hours per week**
**Salary: £46,350**
A new opportunity has become available for a ICT Infrastructure Engineer. You will help to deliver technical projects involving installation and maintenance of ICT hardware, software, networks and communications systems as well as maintaining a secure, robust,agile and up to date infrastructure environment. You will provide 3rd line technical support to the business and will act as an escalation point for the ICT Service Desk technicians.
**Key responsibilities**:

- Assist with the implementation and support of the organisation's core systems and networking to ensure the security, stability and performance of all systems. These systems include Microsoft Windows Server, HP Servers, Nimble Storage, VMware, Citrix, Veeam,Cisco, Meraki, Draytek, mobile working and cloud technologies.
- Provide third-line technical support, carrying out diagnostic, routines and processes to correct complex issues and problems following ITIL best practice. Work with the Service Desk Team to resolve incidents and problems where appropriate.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation and knowledgebase articles.
- Ensure that configuration management database is up to date and accurate.
- Manage and maintain working relationships with third party suppliers where necessary
- Assist in the patching of all ICT systems with the latest security updates.
- Keep up to date with the latest technologies, trends, methodologies and best practices.
- Help maintain robust backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
- Help maintain the organisation's Mobile Device Management solution.
- Support and maintain the organisation's VOIP telephony systems.
- Help deliver and evolve the organisation's use of Microsoft Office 365 technologies.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Experience of working in a customer focused environment
- Demonstrable knowledge & experience of virtual server and virtual desktop environments
- Excellent understanding of Microsoft Windows Server, Hyper-V and VMware technologies.
- Experience of implementing and supporting Microsoft systems such as Windows Server, Exchange, DHCP, DNS & Office 365.
- Experience in creating system processes documentation and technical diagrams using tools such as Microsoft Visio.
- Experience managing an IP network - Cisco, Meraki, HP hardware
- Good networking knowledge and understanding of switches, firewalls, TCP/IP and routing.
- Very strong practical skills with IT hardware and software including mobile devices.
- Good understanding of SAN systems such as Nimble and HP MSA
- Ability to deliver technical work on time and to a high standard.
- Ability to keep up to date with existing and emerging technology.
- An understanding of IT best practices.
