**BASIC SALARY**: £60,000-£70,000

**JOB DESCRIPTION**: (Head of supply Chain / Construction / Heavy Plant Equipment / Construction)
The primary focus of the Head of Supply Chain position is to assess and where required, improve upon our sourcing options and SLAs across our entire supply chain. A longer-term project may be to upgrade our ERP/MRP systems so any experience of system implementation could be a distinct advantage. Additional key elements of the role will be to:

- Ensure we manage and where possible, reduce overall stock holding.
- Manage a total international spend of circa £20 million across all products.
- Implement and ensure compliance with new SLAs for the business and its suppliers.
- Assess how to get best value out of the current procurement relationships and where needed, ensure supplier variation and contingency options exist.
- Reduce waste and improve efficiencies.
- Oversee and where possible, reduce, logistics and transport costs.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**: (Head of supply Chain / Construction / Heavy Plant Equipment / Construction)

- Qualified Purchasing/Supply Chain Managers with experience of overseeing a team.
- Strong background of international Supply Chain management and Procurement.
- Proven ability in the development and implementation of Supply Chain tools & practices (SLA’s contracts etc).
- Experience of sourcing raw materials/component products via a Global supply chain.
- A proven track record of cost savings and business improvements but not at the cost of quality.
- Experience of implementing and managing ERP systems.
- Manufacturing experience from industrial, construction, heavy plant, machinery or fabrication environments.
