As a **Senior** **Care Assistant in our Stanley Wilson Lodge Care Home in Saffron Walden, Essex, **you will be part of a supportive and welcoming team providing physical, emotional, and social support to our residents. You will make a difference every day by engaging in meaningful activities with residents as well as promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect whilst delivering exceptional levels of care. Excelcare is a family-owned care home group established for over 32 years. We provide support to older people with a range of needs including dementia, physical disabilities, and mental health issues. By joining us you will become one of the ‘family’ and in return for your dedication and hard work you can expect:

- **Salary: £11.40 - 12.00 p/h depending on experience and qualifications**:

- **24 or 36 hours a week available - 2 or 3 X 12 hour shifts**:

- **Night shifts from 8pm - 8am, Monday - Sunday. You must be able to work alternate weekends**

**The role of a Senior Care Assistant**
- To lead and mentor a team of Care Assistants
- Take a proactive role throughout the home to drive excellent care practice at all times
- Work closely with the Home Manager, Ancillary teams, and other Senior Care Assistants
- Support with observations, medication and reviewing care plans
- You and your team will be responsible for meeting the day-to-day needs of the people we care for as delivering exceptional care is at the heart of everything we do
- You will also be responsible for the completion of person-centred care plans along with the necessary risk assessments and documents to ensure we are delivering a high standard of care - personalised to each individual person
- You will need to be an enthusiastic, caring, and reliable individual, and passionate about what we do

**About you**:
If you’ve had 3 years’ experience as a Care Assistant or previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant/Team Leader along with an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care and you're looking for a change, then Stanley Wilson Lodge Care Home could be the place for you.
