Unipart Logistics (UL) has secured a contract to run the new, custom-built Jaguar Land Rover Global Parts Logistics Centre at Appleby Magna in Leicestershire. The operation will be housed at Jaguar Land Rover's new Mercia Park campus, one of the largest UK warehouse developments for a single customer. With a multimillion-pound major facility investment program already underway, we would like you to join us now to be part of the successful implementation of what is said to be the largest automotive logistics project in the UK.

As an MHE Trainer you will co-ordinate and provide training on the safe and effective use of all MHE equipment to our warehouse operatives across the JLR Mercia Park site. You will provide first time and refresher training as required and ensure the safe ways of working are carried across into day to day tasks.
**As part of your key responsibilities you'll: **
- Provide MHE training as required by the skills matrix
- Ensure refresher training is completed in a timely manner in accordance with requirements
- Ensure hazards are correctly identified and control measures introduced to reduce risks to all colleagues, improving overall site safety
- Conduct observations to ensure colleagues operate in a safe manner, correcting and reporting all observations
- Assist with the creation and implementation of Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and Risk Assessments related to all MHE activities
- Work with the management team to develop process improvements for resolving problems identified through accident/incident investigations
- Provide occasional support to other Unipart sites where required
- Provide occasional support to the warehouse where required
- Be flexible across shifts as per business requirements
**About You **
- At least one fork lift truck licence is essential
- Relevant experience or qualification to RTITB/ITSSAR Instructor standard would be an advantage
- Leadership skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work on your own initiative and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
- Great communication skills - speaking, listening, and writing
- Good IT skills in Microsoft Office and / or Google Suite
- Able to demonstrate proven experience of delivering excellent customer service and understanding customer requirements
- We'd love to see some demonstrable experience of working with lean / continuous improvement techniques too if you have that.
