Working in partnership with local authority children’s services across the UK, Innovate CYPS, is part of Sanctuary Personnel.
Innovate Services work in partnership with local authorities across the UK to identify better, more efficient ways of delivering children’s social work, children’s residential, and foster carer services by externally supporting a council’s children’s services department.
Youth Justice Support Worker/YOT Worker required in the East Midlands.
**Team/Specialism**: Children’s Services
**Salary**: £33,000 per annum
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Support young people who are assessed as being at risk of offending or re-offending, causing harm to others, or for their own safety and wellbeing.
- Team delivering tailored interventions as well as completing assessments and intervention plans focussed on preventing or reducing offending and re-engaging children and young people back into education or training.
- The role will promote and encourage young people's participation in activities, supporting them to actively participate in decision making.
- Responsible for developing and delivering interventions to young people both individually and in a group setting and be able to motivate them to engage in programmes of work to address offending behaviours.
- Respond to child protection concerns that arise in the course of interventions, in line with child protection procedures and guidance.
**Requirements of the Youth Justice Support Worker/YOT Worker**:
- Need to have 3 years experience working with vulnerable children in a youth justice and youth engagement setting, with knowledge of the challenges associated with contextualised safeguarding.
