Maidstone, United Kingdom Catch22 Full time

Company Description

Catch22 exists to help build a society where everyone has a good place to live, good people around them, and a fulfilling purpose. We call these our '3Ps'.

We achieve this in two ways. First we improve lives on the frontline through delivery of public services. Secondly, we use our knowledge to change 'the system', to fix the complex web that can trap and disempower those it was set up to help. With the heart of a charity and the mindset of a business, we are uniquely placed to deliver on this challenging agenda.

**Catch22 College**

Catch22 College delivers academic and vocational training programmes for young people across the country, who are aged 16+, and, for whatever reason, are not suited to a mainstream college setting.

Our Maidstone College site provides learners with a highly supportive environment, where they have access to opportunities to build up their confidence and self belief, and to gain new skills and experiences, that will help them to achieve their goals in life. We exist to help our learners _find their future_.

**Job Description**:
In the role of **Business Administrator**, you will provide daily administrative support, and you will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers. We are looking for a friendly and approachable individual, who is able to promote the college, and welcome students and visitors, alongside ensuring that an effective and professional administration service is delivered across the college provision.

**Main Duties & Accountabilities**
- Acting as the first point of contact for enquiries from parents, pupils, and visitors, responding within standard procedures, and referring enquiries to appropriate destinations when required.
- Contribution to the smooth running of the college’s reception, postal, telephone, stationary, and hospitality facilities, and ensuring that all display boards in the college are relevant, with up to date information (and change if required).
- Managing the booking process for external companies to hire centre facilities, and handing over to admin for booking completion. Ensuring that all provisions required for conferences are in place, and holding responsibility for conference set up both prior and during the booking.
- Producing routine documentation and correspondence, against a broad framework that is provided by the teaching staff.
- Working cooperatively with others towards shared goals, supporting the induction of new members of the team, and contributing to the development of others within the team through knowledge sharing.
- Supporting the college data management systems (PIX). Completing regular administration tasks such as inputting and extracting pupil and staff information (medical information, attendance, registration, exclusions date), alongside printing and sending out reports and attendance certificates.

**Qualifications**:

- GCSE Maths and English, at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).
- Sound practical knowledge of common ICT software packages, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc).
- Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels, and able to build great working relationships.
- Experience of creating, monitoring, and collating data, from Excel spreadsheets.

Additional Information
**Salary**: Pro-rata amount of £11,189.19 (based on £23,000 full time equivalent)
**Hours of work**:Part time, 18 hours per week
**Contract type**:Permanent
