We are looking for a Deputy Caretaker to start as soon as possible. The successful job holder will be a practical person who has initiative and will take pride in the upkeep and appearance of our school. You will assist the Main Caretaker in providing a clean, healthy and safe environment for users of the school buildings and grounds. The role will have a focus on normal caretaking/cleaning duties including external areas of the school, but will also involve some gardening and outdoor maintenance.

This will be a full-time position working 37 hours per week. Hours to be fully discussed and will include shift working. The hours of shift working are 8.00am to 4.00pm, 11.00am to 7.00pm and 2.00pm to 10.00pm, Monday to Friday, to include one Saturday or Sunday every four weeks (day off in the week given).

- have a range of general handyman skills such as painting and decorating, minor plumbing, carpentry and competent to use power and hand tools
- be willing to learn new skills and undertake training to develop within the role
