Assistant Caretaker

**Summary of Responsibilities**:

- **Security of premises **including lock/unlock entrances, report/secure break-ins/damage. Check alarms and make safe gas, water, electric isolators.
- **Cleaning tasks **including maintaining and safely store all caretaking equipment. Undertake emergency cleaning. Periodically strip and reseal hard surfacing floors. Litter and graffiti removal.
- **General duties** including maintaining grounds/drains. Gritting path in severe weather. Receipt of goods and supplies. Arrange temp signs in carparks/buildings. Set-up and take down furniture for events
- **Administrative duties **including ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations. Control consumable goods stock levels. Monitor energy and water services usage and adhere to set budgets. Provide cover to the Building Supervisor when required.
- **Maintenance duties **including identifying and reporting any repairs, maintenance or replacement. Initiate work orders for repair and liaise/monitor contracted personnel on site. General maintenance including: plumbing; joinery; painting and decorating; small re-plastering jobs; make safe electric and gas. General boiler and gas maintenance.
- **Driving duties (optional) **including ensuring minibus is clean and maintained, deliver for servicing and repairs. Collect goods as required. Transport equipment, staff or pupils where required.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: £11.32 per hour
