**TRANSPORT PLANNER REQUIRED FOR SOUTH CHESHIRE BASED COMPANY**

**TRANSPORT PLANNER**
**MIDDLEWICH AREA**
**FULL TIME PERMANENT**
**£28K-£32K DOE**

**THE ROLE**

Working in a busy logistics team, the Transport Planner will be responsible for:

- The effective daily route planning of a team of drivers for routes all over the UK.
- Dealing with any driver issues, vehicle breakdowns and working closely with a wide range of customers.
- Arranging vehicle maintenance and issuing PPE required for the driver team.
- Maintaining fuel records, providing monthly information to senior management and ensuring all transport operations comply with legal and health and safety requirements.

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
- Previous experience of working in a fast placed logistics environment, with specific experience of driver management and route planning.
- Excellent geographical knowledge of the UK and be highly organised, together with the ability to work on your own initiative within a busy, faced paced environment.
- A CPC Qualification would also be considered preferable but is not essential.
- Freight forwarding experience would be advantageous
- Strong IT skills.

Due to the location of the Transport Planner role, it is advisable for interested applicants to possess access to their own transport.
