You will play a crucial role in improving the well-being of our residents by planning, organising, and implementing a wide range of activities and events tailored to their interests and needs. You will work collaboratively with other departments to create a vibrant and fulfilling living environment for our residents.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement a diverse activities program that promotes physical, mental, and emotional well-being for residents.
- Conduct assessments to identify residents' interests, preferences, and needs, and incorporate these into the activities schedule.
- Collaborate with the wider team to ensure activities are adapted to the individual needs of residents.
- Organise and oversee special events, outings, and holiday celebrations.
- Maintain records and documentation related to activities, attendance, and resident progress.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, making adjustments to enhance the overall program.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and guidelines

It is your role to enable and support our residents to continue taking part in the activities and lifestyle choices they have always enjoyed. It might be meeting up with friends and family, going to the local bowls club, visiting the cinema, attending local groups or enjoying a specific pastime like gardening, painting or singing.

It all starts with getting to know our residents as individuals and finding out how they have lived their life and what they enjoy doing. This will mean taking an interest and talking with our residents and their family and friends. Plotting a life history book with them and sharing their memories.

To promote the social and recreational aspects of daily living for all residents you will engage with the local the community and its resources. You will be **creative, innovative and enthusiastic**. You will have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Previous experience in activities/events roles or social care experience is desired but not essential. What’s important is you are **passionate and motivated,** and you want to help in your community.

A full UK Driving licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle is essential.

Pay: £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
