**The role**:
This position is for an initial two year fixed term contract with the potential to become permanent at the end of that term.

**What will you be doing?**:
As the recruitment lead for our Research and Enterprise Division (RED) you’ll be responsible for vacancy fulfilment - first time, direct hiring using the most time and cost-efficient method. This is a vacancy carrying role, so you’ll create sourcing strategies that work, build fit for purpose assessment and guide our managers in best practice to transform how they think and act when hiring. There’s also a constant pipeline of more general talent related projects that you’ll be involved in and lead.

RED supports and works closely alongside the academic, student and entrepreneur communities to help sustain and grow activities that create our culture and reputation. Our teams provide advice, guidance and support across the broad, diverse and fascinating research and enterprise found across the University. RED recruits a variety of interesting and challenging roles, offering an excellent chance to utilise your existing sourcing skills as well as to learn about new positions and their requirements.

There’s lots of autonomy in this role and much about how you operate is within your gift. You’ll need to be confident in your ability to articulate ideas to sometimes very senior stakeholders, be able to use data to inform and improve behaviour and build strong and trusted relationships with your hiring community.
- A strong record of direct sourcing either in an agency or in-house environment, or ideally a mixture of the two
- Experience of delivering recruitment into or as part of a mid to large scale, complex organisation
- Experience analysing and presenting recruitment/HR data to tell a narrative and influence behaviours
