**The Role**:
We have an opportunity for a Health Care Assistant to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in the Frailty Assessment Unit. You will carry out routine personal care/assist with routine examination duties for patients, in support of (and supervised by), a registered nurse/clinician. You will ensure a person centred approach to care delivery which is safe and effective to ensure and maintain quality strategy. Carrying out assigned duties to maintain hygiene, order and safety within the ward/department environment.

Duties may vary with the type of ward/department and the degree of patient dependency.

**What we'll need you to bring**:

- Knowledge of personal care and related procedures or previous volunteer or work experience in a health, education or social environment.
- Required to undertake on the job training and induction
- Undertake mandatory HCSW standards
- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- Working knowledge of basic information technology.
- Car driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA licence

**It would be great if you also have**:

- SVQ 11 in Health Care or working towards
- Ability to work a variety of shifts

**Contract type**:
Permanent

Part Time

22.2 hours

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.

**Location and Working Pattern**:
This role will be based in the Frailty Assessment Unit within University Hospital Monklands.
