- **Salary: **Up to £44,000 per annum dependent on experience
- **Hours: **40 hours per week; Monday to Friday
- **Contract: **Permanent, Term Time Only

**Job purpose**

To lead in the school’s commitment and statutory duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils and staff in accordance with Company policies, procedures and practises.

To work as a member of the Senior Management Team and ensure, track and monitor appropriate behaviour, pastoral, clinical and multi-agency interventions for pupils.
- To act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) and in accordance with roles and responsibilities as outlined in the school’s Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy
- To lead in the effective provision for pupils with additional Inclusion needs (e.g., eligible for pupil premium, FSM, EAL, LAC)
- To work as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team which encompasses education, residential care and the clinical team
- To monitor progress and targets to ensure that each individual student is able to achieve planned outcomes
- To lead in solution focussed discussion around the school’s most vulnerable pupils

Essential experience
- Relevant experience of managing and responding to child protection and safeguarding concerns within a school setting
- Experience of working with young people/young adults with autistic spectrum disorders and/or challenging behaviour
- Relevant experience of working with and referring into a range of multi-agency services
- Experience of leading, monitoring and evidencing progress of targeted interventions and support plans
