**Position: Baker**

As our overnight baker, you will be responsible for creating a wide range of delectable pastries, breads and sourdough that delight our customers. Your creativity, expertise, and attention to detail will be instrumental in enhancing our culinary offerings and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will lead & manage all aspects of food preparation and contribute to night menu planning and innovation.

**Key Responsibilities**

**1. Food Preparation**
- Create a variety of high-quality crousants, pastries and bread goods choosing the finest ingredients and maintain inventory to ensure freshness and quality
- Maintain strict quality control measures to ensure consistency in freshness taste, appearance, and portion sizes
- Manage the bakery kitchen budget, with help from the Exec chef
- Be comfortable to prepare a restricted night menu for the occasions of very late-night dinners

**2. Food Delivery**
- Collaborate with the Exec Chef to develop new pastry items and suggest improvements to existing offerings
- Keep up with industry trends, experimenting with new recipes, techniques, and presentation styles
- Create visually appealing pastry displays and desserts that leave a lasting impression on customers
- Contribute to special events, catering, and menu planning as needed

**3. Health & Safety**
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring the pastry kitchen complies with all health and safety regulations

**Required Skills and Experience**
- Proven experience as a Baker/Pastry chef or in a similar role.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of pastry and baking techniques, including decoration and presentation.
- Ability to lead and manage a team, providing training, guidance, and support.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills is essential
- Attention to detail and creativity in crafting new pastry creations.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to lone-work and still meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
