**About us**:
**Falcon Gymnastics Club** has been teaching gymnastics in and around Bedford for 46 years, and in that time has produced several International Mixed Pairs and numerous National Champions. We work hand in hand with schools and run General Gymnastics & Pre-school classes and holiday camps, as well as having a large competition group.

**The Role**:
This role presents an exciting opportunity for a senior coach to take the next step in their career. The MD is looking for a talented coach to contribute to our growth by sharing their wealth of experience and energy as we continue to expand.

You will lead a high-quality coaching team and the MD’s expectation from you is to excel in their development, motivation, and inspiration to deliver Sports Acrobatics and the competition success we all seek.

**What you'll do**:
With the support of Falcon’s Senior Leadership Team, you will lead and inspire a rapidly developing team of coaches and gymnasts.

You will work closely with gymnasts to assess their current skill levels and develop both individual and partnership progression plans, conducting regular assessments to track progress. You will implement strategic training methods to enhance individual and team performance at competitions. You will maintain accurate records and communicate progress to the Senior Leadership Team, gymnasts, and parents/guardians accordingly.

Your focus will be on skills from the NDP code, progressing gymnasts towards FIG levels, with attention to skill development, technique, and performance. You will tailor training programmes across squads to align with the competition schedule and individual gymnast and partnership goals. You will develop a 3-year strategy and constantly monitor progress, adapting your objectives as required.

You must be positive, enthusiastic, and engaging, acting as an excellent role model with a commitment to improve, develop and lead while working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, of which you will become an important member.

You will participate in the club’s strategic and tactical decisions to help the business develop and grow. You will prioritise and enforce safety measures during training sessions, emphasising safe skill execution. You will monitor and address any potential risks and work in line with our Health & Safety and other policies.

The expectation is that 85% of your time will be spent teaching / coaching, with the remainder spent on planning, management, and administration.

**Responsibilities**:To implement motivating training programmes based on skill levels and goals, and then monitor and provide feedback using effective communication skills.

To have a strong knowledge of gymnastics techniques, skills, and rules.

To support the bi-annual evaluation and review of training plans and their content with the MD and other senior coaches.

To teach high-energy gymnastic classes, with fun at the heart of everything you do.

To collaborate with other coaches to create training plans and initiate sessions to deliver Falcon’s goals.

To create and implement engaging lesson plans that promote skill development, physical fitness, and a love for gymnastics.

To take an active role in leading classes and providing cover where needed.

To coordinate and help deliver Falcon’s award schemes, including periodic reviews of the schemes with the Senior Leadership Team.

To pro-actively undertake customer relations, administration, and marketing duties.

To foster positive relationships with gymnasts, parents / guardians, and staff, promoting open and honest communication and addressing any concerns.

To demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with gymnasts, parents, and colleagues.

To support the induction, training, and development of new coaches, as appropriate.

To ensure compliance with all statutory rules and regulations, including those of Falcon Gymnastics Club.

To provide a safe and inclusive environment for participants, always ensuring their welfare and wellbeing.

To ensure equipment is fit for purpose and report any maintenance issues.

To act as a First Aid lead.

To help grow the business and ensure retention of current members.

To demonstrate exceptional organisational and time management skills.
