**Job Introduction**:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Highways Inspector to join the team in our Portsmouth depot. The Highways Inspector will carry out highways inspections on the network, ensuring compliance with the contract specifications in collaboration with the “Well Maintained ACOP” and ensuring accurate records are maintained with a target of minimum disruption to the network. Also, to respond to enquiries made by all third parties in relation to Network Management.

**Main Responsibility**:
You will carry out inspections of network in accordance with the Inspection Schedule to ensure that Contract Performance Indicators are met. You will report conditions observed whilst out on the network. You will ensure that inspections are carried out in collaboration with the “Well Maintained ACOP”. You will be able to record information using Maestro System. You will represent Colas and Portsmouth City Council in a professional manner in any contact with the public. You will contribute to SPF and network occupancy monitoring and report activities being undertaken on the network for licence and validity checks. You will be responsible for reporting and identifying potential investigatory defects to support New Roads and Street Works Act. You will investigate and respond to all public enquiries within the required timescales and record the information on the EXOR PEMS system. You will ensure that appropriate information is provided with the scope to assist with correct Traffic Management being allocated. You will make sure that all operations carried out within your area of responsibility are undertaken with full regard for safety of visitors, other members of staff and yourself.
