Delivery Driver

**About Us**

We are a rapidly-growing online retailer which specialises in manufacturing cut-to-size plastic, wood and mirror glass for the end-user. Our customers (DIYers, tradespeople and companies) place orders through our state-of-the-art website and we manufacture and ship in as little as 24 hours. Our success depends on delivering great quality product to our customers as quickly as possible.

Since our origins in 2017, we have grown fast and now employ a team of around 50 within our factory, warehouse and other support functions. We are looking to grow substantially in the coming few years and are looking for skilled and motivated individuals to be part of the journey.

**Role Purpose**

You will be responsible for delivering orders to our customers which are located across the UK. We run a fleet of vans running daily so you will typically work 5 days at a time flexibility required, as typically 1-2 overnight stays per week will be required.

**Role and Responsibilities**
- Loading the van and ensuring adequate protection in place to prevent damage to goods
- Strapping loads to ensure safe transit
- Unloading the van at the customer’s chosen delivery location and delivering goods, following agreed procedures for recording safe delivery of goods
- Maintaining a smart and professional appearance.
- Doing regular checks to make sure your van is road worthy
- Driving safely, responsibly and within the law

**Work Environment**
- The role is highly physical and you will need to be able to safely lift items possibly up/down stairs
- Much of the working day will be spent driving alone

**Preferred Skills**
- Experience is a bonus, but we’re more interested in your enthusiasm, friendly personality, and willingness to go the extra mile for our customers
- You must be confident behind the wheel of a van, have no more than 3 points on your UK/EU driving license and not been disqualified from driving within the last 10 years
- You will be required to take an online driving risk assessment and online driver training course
- You should have a flexible approach to working hours and may be expected to work overtime.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £12.25-£13.00 per hour
