Administrator - Quality Department (Part Time 30

We are a leading European manufacturer of aerosol and consumer chemical products and are based within 10 miles of Manchester city centre.
This is a new position working 30 hours per week Mon - Thurs (or Mon - Fri). The Quality Administrator will report to the Quality Manager, assisting the Quality Manager and Technicians to ensure the smooth running of the department functions. The role will involve liaising with other departments within the business and assisting Operations and Warehousing staff with respect to quality procedures, documents and documentation.
**Duties**
- To ensure raw material specifications are present and current [up to date].
- To reconcile, review, approve and file raw material COA’s / COC’s with incoming material deliveries.
- To communicate with suppliers and obtain COA’s / COC’s where necessary
- To review goods inwards data and request samples and / or delivery notes from Goods Inwards where required.
- To scan in and file Quality and Production records [electronic & paper records]
- To extract test results to generate, file and present C.O.C’s / C.O.A.’s to customers.
- To receive and log customer complaints, retrieving associated quality and production records, obtaining information and samples as required by the investigating Technicians.
- To generate and communicate supplier material failure records.
- To communicate with suppliers, ensuring fault reports are received and records updated.
- To file re-work records and associated data.
- To load calibration results onto the relevant spreadsheets / databases.
- To scan in and file calibration certificates received from external test houses.
- To consolidate data for reporting purposes.
- To log retention samples
- To assure Quality is maintained in accordance with agreed procedures.
- To complete or assist with any other tasks as required by the business to support the Quality function requirements.
There may be a need for shift flexibility within the job function in relation to the hours of work. You may also be required to work at the Chadderton site so own transport is required.
**Person**
- To use, without support, company IT systems necessary to complete the quality function.
- To be competent using Microsoft Excel & Word.
- To be confident a confident communicator (verbal and written).
