**Fabricator/Welder**

**Reporting to** - Fabrication Welding Supervisor.

**Location** - Chichester

**Salary** - £15.00 - £20.00 per hour

**Working hours**:

- 37.5 hours per week. Mon - Fri.

**Job purpose**

The post holder will undertake all duties associated with that of Fabricator/Welder, operating out of the Company's facility in Chichester as well as clients sites, satisfying the delivery of service to all customers and on specific projects. In addition,the post holder use technical skills and knowledge, satisfying client demand and delivering solution to a high standard.

The post holder will be expected to dedicate additional times outside of contractual working hours to ensure all tasks are complete or progressed as required. Satisfying overtime hours will be expected in this post.

**Key tasks and responsibilities**
- Coded welder - Adherence to all HSE Hot Work Safety Systems
- Read and understand technical design drawing specification.
- Product mechanical assembly to drawings specification.
- Safe use of weld & power / hand equipment (to include grinder)
- Adherence / control / completion of fabrication documentation to CE standard.
- Correct use of All PPE - Weld fume & RPE
- Ability to consistently weld and fabricate whilst conforming to all hot work safety regulations

Health and safety

It is your contractual duty to follow Health and Safety instructions issued by the Company, and to take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work. Due to the nature of thisrole and the responsibilities of the post holder, it is expected the post holder will provide example for others to follow with regards to health and safety matters and the post holder will be required to address any breach immediately and uphold the principlesof the Health and Safety at work Act at all times.

Measures of success

The performance of the post holder will be continually reviewed and as part of the annual appraisal to ensure the service provided is as required by the organisation. The post holder will be provided with guidance as to what is required of them during thecourse of the contract.

It is the post holder's responsibility to seek guidance and support should clarification be required in relation to the duties associated with the post.

Knowledge & experience
- Minimum 2 years' welding experience/ Previous coded welder
- Weld to WPS Standards
- Use of various LOLLER Equipment (Cranes / Fork Lift) advantageous
- Established Safety Behaviours - PPE / Safe working practices
- Rigging / Slinging an advantage
- Forklift licence / experience preferable
- Independent Safety Passport preferred
- Experience working in a similar Engineering environment preferred
- Working both independently and as a team member
- Working to exacting deadlines and current quality standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Time management
- Organised & Punctual
- Competent in English & Maths
