**JOB DESCRIPTION AND PERSON SPECIFICATION**

**Job Title: Logistics Operator**

**Responsible to: Warehouse Manager**

**Responsible for: None**

**Location: Sleaford**

**Work Times: 8am to 4pm (Monday to Friday). A degree of flexibility will be needed at peak periods.**

**Summary and Purpose**

Established in 2009 in Sleaford Lincolnshire SHD remain committed to providing exceptional levels of service and flexibility coupled with a wealth of experience within the composite industry. SHD Composite Materials Ltd are the leading edge of advance composites technology and manufacture a wide range of thermoset prepregs, which include carbon, glass, aramid, natural and hybrid fabrics whilst also offering a toll impregnation service.

The purpose of this role is to work alongside our existing team to assist with the efficient running of the Despatch and Goods In department.

**Person Specification**

In this role, you will be required to meet the delivery and transfer orders and be involved in the day to day running of the Despatch and Goods In department.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Working in accordance with Company Quality and Health & Safety procedures at all times.
- Understand the various hazards associated within the department
- Ensure appropriate PPE is worn at all times
- Inform the Warehouse Manager on any accidents/near misses
- Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles
- Ensuring the presentation standard of packed/picked goods meet both company and customer requirements
- Report shipment quality issues as early as possible
- Minimising wastage where possible
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic workplace
- Ensure that all procedures are adhered
- Ensure all paperwork complies to AS9100 standards and specific Customer demands
- Ensure all stock is held in the appropriate location
- Assist with both Good In and Despatch requirements for the company
- To undertake any other duties from time to time as can be reasonable requested by the company.
