Supporting the Nuclear Treaty Verification programme within the Systems Assessments Group, this multi-discipline team ensures AWE is "future treaty ready" and gives technical advice and assessment to our stakeholders on equipment and processes that mightbe used in treaty verification systems. It is expected some knowledge and skills will need to be developed in-role due to the technical breadth of the work.

**Some of the responsibilities of this role include**:

- Radiation transport modelling
- Working in collaboration with partner laboratories
- Taking measurements and analysing these measurements to feed back to stakeholders
- Analysing problems using Systems Thinking methodology to assess specific scenarios
- STEM background (1-2 years industry experience) - particularly engineering or physics (essential)
- Experience in Radiation Detection/Nuclear Materials Accountancy or a Nuclear Industry background
- Computational modelling or experience in scientific programming using languages such as Fortran, Python or C++
- Understanding of treaty verification systems and equipment/techniques
- Systems thinking mindset
