Factory Operative

**Full training and support are given.**

**39 hours guaranteed permanent work** with **high earning potential**.
- The responsibility of the job:_
- Working with the support of the department head to progress your skills, achieve your targets and reach the required quality of work through feedback and on the job training
- Progress with hands-on training to produce 230 pairs of quality handmade pointe shoes every week
- This will include the following:_
- Following instructions and learning each stage of the lasting
- Standing at your own workstation lasting ballet pointe shoes
- Working with hand tools such as hammers, scissors, pliers and knives
- Working with nails and twine
- Selecting lasts (a foot form of which the shoe gets it shape)
- Reading order tickets
- Required skills/education:_
- Basic literacy skills
- Excellent manual/practical skills
- Organisational skills
- Pro-active and enthusiastic
- Willing to learn
- Good attendance
- You will be required to work in a fast paced team environment

**39 Working hours**:
7.30 am - 4.30pm Monday - Thursday (including half an hour lunch break and two 10 minute breaks)

7.30am to 12.30pm Friday. (including a 10 minute break)

National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage (from age 23 onwards) start and higher earning potential once fully trained.

**Salary**: From £10.42 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
