**Rapid Prototype Technician - Silicone Tooling Specialist**

**Location: Hertfordshire**

**Salary: 27K - 31K**

**Full Time - Permanent**

**The Role**:
My client is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated Workshop Technician with a speciality in Silicone Tooling preparation to join their expanding Rapid Prototyping team. Reporting to the Senior RP Technician - Team Leader, you will be assistingwith all aspects involved in producing rapid prototypes to customer specifications. Working in the Rapid Prototype team, you will process orders to a high standard. Their customers expect fast turnarounds, so you will work with your colleagues to meet strictdeadlines.

**As a Rapid Prototype Technician, you will need**
- Master model preparation and painting
- Creating Silicon tooling - vents and feeds
- Vacuum casting processes - mix resins / calculate material to be used / mix colours
- Clean vacuum cast mouldings to a high standard for presentation to customers
- Work on all 3D printed parts to finish to customers specification

**In addition, you**:

- Will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Will be able to take any part and create a silicone tool and cast a part without any assistance
- Will be able to work under pressure
- Will be well organised
- Will be flexible as you will be required to complete additional workshop duties not related to silicone tooling
- Must be able to work according to their company values
