Assistant Minister

Job description

We are looking for someone with experience in Christian ministry; a committed believer who
seeks daily to grow personally in the knowledge and love of God, and desires to help others
to do the same.

The Assistant Minister will be a member of the church’s Ministerial Team that, under the
leadership of the Senior Pastor, will provide leadership and support to the members and
ministries of the church. This will often take the form of “equipping the saints for ministry”.
However, it is also envisaged that the Assistant Minister will be personally involved in leading
some of those ministries.
- Qualifications - Whilst a theological qualification (e.g. degree or equivalent) may be beneficial for the role, it is not deemed essential.
- Experience - Similarly, past experience in full/part-time ministry is not a pre-requisite for this role.
- Servant-hearted - A willingness to lead by example, serving and supporting the members and ministry leaders within the fellowship.- agrees with and supports the vision, purpose and values of Gerrard Street Baptist Church, and
- prioritises and pursues unity as a member of the ministerial and staff team.
