Instrumentation Technician

Reed Engineering are currently working with bulk liquid storage specialist that are looking for a Electrical Controls and Instrumentation technician to join their Engineering team at their terminal based in Dagenham.
This is a fantastic opportunity, and will suit someone who is looking to diversify their skill set aswell as utilsiing their existing experience, as the company will offer training and development within other areas to ensure variety of work

**Role Purpose**:
To ensure safe and efficient terminal operations by carrying out day to day preventive, planned and reactive maintenance of Electrical, Control and Instrumentation equipment to the highest possible standard. **Desirable qualifications**:

- City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/5 is desirable.
- Good literacy, numeracy & writing skills.

**Experience required**:

- Experience in EC&I maintenance, ideally within an Oil & Gas or Chemical industry but not essential. Other 24/7 industries will be considered.
- Experience of working in a COMAH site is an advantage.
- CompEx EX01-04 Certified.
- Experience in operating, maintaining, and inspecting High Voltage switchgear, and distribution networks is an advantage.
- Completely conversant with requirements of Electricity at Work Regulations, BS7671 is essential.
- Knowledge of maintaining and troubleshooting PLC based controls systems.
- Knowledge of maintaining and troubleshooting process instrumentation such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurement.
- Experience and knowledge of Risk Assessments and COSHH is an advantage.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office Suite.

- Working hours Monday - Friday, 07:00am - 16:00pm
- Starting salary £43,500 - £46,500 per annum
