**Job purpose**

As Financial Director you will work directly with the Managing Director/Sales Director in a highly commercial role requiring an ability to develop effective cross functional relationships.

**The key objectives**:

- Playing a leadership role in strategic planning, financial forecasting, and analytical activities for TG Lynes ensuring all financial reporting is delivered by the finance team.
- Analysis, review, and reporting of financial data and financial performance to drive business performance improvement.
- Challenging the status quo to continuously improve the control environment and mitigate existing or emerging risks.
- A key member of the business leadership team acting as a role model for leadership values and behaviours.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Complete oversight and responsibility of the core finance function including Management Accounting, Financial Accounting and Credit Control

Team Management, ensuring clear targets and objectives are defined and met on a regular basis to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and developed

Develop and control the company's annual operating budget to ensure that all financial targets are met and financial and statutory regulations complied with

Manage the production of monthly management accounting and financial management information including cash-flow forecasting

Develop cost control measures, cost estimates, and forecasts to support business budgets and plans.

Develop and maintain all necessary systems, policies, and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the company

Carry out all necessary actions to ensure that the company meets its financial and legal obligations, ensuring all, tax, accounting, legal and compliance requirements are met.

Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure best value, efficiency, and compliance

Provide decision support through insightful analysis to drive business performance

Provide continues improvement of new ERP system to enhance the quality of Monthly, Quarterly and Annual reporting

Provide evaluation of investment opportunities enabling commercial and financially sound decision making whilst reducing risk.

Manage the relations with Group finance and external bodies to ensure that TG Lynes complies with financial procedures, regulation, tax, insurance, compliance, and Audit

**Knowledge and experience required**

It is essential that you can demonstrate the leadership skills needed to influence senior business leaders and maintain an inclusive and engaged culture across the business.

You will be highly computer literate and have a good working knowledge of Excel modelling and prior exposure to developing ERP systems.

Exposure within a business holding physical stock would be highly desirable
