Linwood, near Glasgow, Scotland

**HGV Mechanic Supervisor**

**Key Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Manage workloads within the Linwood Garage.
- Planned 6 weekly safety inspections of fleet.
- MOT preparation and presentation for test.
- Immediate and reactive response to daily breakdowns (both mechanical and lifting equipment related) and smaller running repairs when necessary.
- Local travel to attend fleet in and around the Linwood area for breakdown and roadside repairs.
- This is not an exhaustive list. You may also be required to carry out any other duties as required by the business that you are qualified/trained in that meet the requirements of this role.

- Excellent time keeping and prioritisation skills
- A good understanding of health and safety, always promoting a healthy & safe environment
- Physical dexterity: the role is very “hands on” and requires a level of physical fitness.

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Experienced HGV mechanic; a minimum of 5 years’ mechanic experience working on various vehicle types
- Experience of trucks and trailers
- Experience of waste recovery vehicles would be advantageous but is not mandatory.

**Salary and Benefits**:

- Up to £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
- 45 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
