**Electrical Estimator**

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Estimator / Senior Electrical Estimator to join a long-established and highly respected M&E Building Services contractor based in the Caterham area.

The company provide Mechanical and Electrical services from Design through to Supply, Installation and Commissioning, predominantly within the High-End Residential sector.

**Electrical Estimator**

**Key Activities include**:

- Tender pricing - respond to tender queries, prepare and submit competitive tender packages and quotations with values ranging from £500k to £5m+ in accordance with the clients requirements
- Job costing - calculate the price of time, labour and materials for complex, bespoke contracts
- Managing and assisting with the preparation of pre-qualification questionnaires for large tenders
- Negotiation of effective cost settlements for projects
- Analysis of contract documentation and preparation of accurate sub-contractor packages for pricing, liaising and negotiating with sub-contractors and key suppliers
- Meet with clients as necessary to clarify design requirements and explain basis of estimates to ensure bid proposals meet needs
- Prioritise, manage own work flow and maintain accurate record of tenders submitted
- Arrange sub-contractor enquiry documents to ensure accuracy and competitiveness of estimate
- Determine contractual, financial, technical and operational risks and to find opportunities to minimise risk and maximise gross profit

**Essential Skills**:

- Minimum 5 years experience as an Electrical Estimator
- Experience within the High-End Residential would be advantageous
- Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent negotiating skills
- Good computer skills, including Word and Excel
- Effective communication both verbal and written
- Efficient, flexible, accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work to targets and goals within set guidelines and parameters
- Someone who is ambitious, self-motivated and driven

**Remuneration Package for the position of Electrical Estimator**:

- Base salary: £55k - £65k depending on experience
