Managing Director

**Location**: Yorkshire / North East / North West

**Salary**: £70,000 plus dependant on experience, plus car allowance, plus attractive bonus scheme

**The Role**

The MD will be responsible for the overall success of the business. The Managing Director is expected to be the strategist and a leader who can grow the company in the most profitable direction while also implementing its vision, mission and long-term goal.The MD will report into the board on a weekly basis working closely with board members focussing on growth and strategy.You will have a thorough understanding of finance related issues to analyse company performance.

Ultimately, an outstanding Managing Director is an exceptional leader, drives a company's strategic visions, and is adept at crisis management.

**The Company**

YDBC Ltd and ASK Ltd are Building Control Approved Inspectors. They provide building regulations plan checking services and site and warranty inspections. Combined they cover the Yorkshire, North East and North West regions.

YDBC and ASK are members of the C80 Group, a fast-growing integrated engineering, environmental and building consultancy. The Group are currently doubling in size year on year through strategic business acquisitions and organic growth. **The role**:

- Assuming full accountability to the board for all company operations
- Developing and executing business strategies to achieve short and long-term goals
- Successfully implementing company policy
- Grow the business nationally - increasing coverage and establishing new regions.
- Diversify to different areas of work with a focus on commercial projects
- Ensure the recruitment and retention of the required numbers and types of well-motivated, trained and developed staff
- Responsible for leading, coaching and mentoring surveyors and admin team members - supporting their professional development and promoting company culture. Identifying opportunities to increase efficiencies and improve processes
- Establish a system of budgetary control by which the actual performance of the company may be evaluated against
- To give due attention to consumer satis­faction which is ensured by the continued supply of services to the target market
- Responsible for ensuring the Company meets Health and Safety standards
- Ensure accordance with CIC rules and regulations
- Building and enhancing the company's public profile
