**Job Description**:
**Key Tasks**:
Secondary responsibility for the operation of a very busy Newmarket stud farm, including:

- The care and welfare of Thoroughbred breeding stock
- Breeding activities to include foaling, teasing and reproductive work

Overseeing the general stud maintenance to a very high standard, including:

- Paddock maintenance
- Machinery operation and maintenance
- Hedge trimming
- Lawn mowing

Undertaking any work consistent with the daily management and operation of a thoroughbred stud farm:

- Deputy supervision of six to ten staff in the Stud Groom’s absence

**Qualifications**:

- Stud supervisory experience preferable
- Good knowledge and understanding of Thoroughbreds and breeding in general
- Good communication skills
- Good time management
- Good record keeping
