**Junior Artworker - 12 month Contract - Signet Jewelers - Croxley Park, Watford**
Hybrid role, two days a week in our Croxley Park office, three days a week working remotely.
We have a fantastic opportunity here at Signet Jewelers for a Junior Artworker to join our in-house Studio team. Known on the High Street in the UK and Ireland as Ernest Jones & H.Samuel, Signet Jewelers is the largest global jewellery retailer. An excellent communicator, you’ll build strong relationships with our teams in brand marketing, print and online, as you’ll be required to deliver a range of marketing collateral and POS. You’ll have a natural talent for bringing ideas and concepts to life with basic to intermediate skills in Adobe Creative Software. Ideally, you’ll have some demonstratable experience in art working and looking to gain valuable experience in a fast paced, evolving Retail environment.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Support the day-to-day workflow and ad hoc jobs briefed to the creative services team.
- Produce artwork files for the in-house team and external partners.
- Take master visuals and roll out the creative across multiple assets and formats.
- Prepare master files that are suitable for multi-spec and size ratios and undertake versioning for all channels, check proofs and artwork.
- Bring visual concepts to life through engaging layouts, with a strong eye for typography and content hierarchy.
- Support the design team in rolling-out design concepts, presentation decks and creating print first artwork.
To succeed in the role, you will have:
- Demonstrable working knowledge of software skills with basic to intermediate skills in Adobe Creative software, Microsoft packages such as PowerPoint and Word are essential. After Effects knowledge is desirable.
- Proven art working ability is essential, within the retail sector is highly desirable. Some experience working across multiple brands, or on a broad range of projects in-house or within a creative, marketing or design agency is desirable.
- Sound understanding of brand development and the expression of brand across multiple channels desirable.
- Demonstrable understanding of art working, and asset management processes will be required to ensure designs are produced to a high-quality spec and execution.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills to be able to proof-read and provide quality assurance on a wide range of communications and projects.
