**Playleader Job Description**

The Playleader’s role is to manage the childcare setting, including ensuring that a safe, happy environment is provided for all children, to adhere to all policies and procedures and to manage the team.

Responsible for: Deputy Playleader, playworkers and volunteers.

Main Duties:

- Planning, preparing and delivering high quality, child-led play opportunities within a safe, caring environment
- Providing comprehensive care for the children including collecting them from school and delivering safely to their parents/carers
- Forming and leading a strong leadership team with the Deputy/Playleader/ Playworkers and volunteers
- Working closely with the office team and Directors to ensure the smooth, safe operation of the clubs
- Working with the school and community representatives (e.g. our school settings) where necessary for the smooth, safe operation of the clubs
- Ensuring that any sensitive information concerning children, staff, parents and the wider community is held confidentially by the whole team
- Holding regular staff meetings and conducting regular reviews and appraisals for staff
- Role modelling the Oaks Club Principles

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 10-30 per week

**Salary**: £10.50-£12.50 per hour
