**Position**:
If you’re a talented wordsmith and grammarian looking for a new challenge, step this way We’re expanding our Marketing and Communications team, and are looking for someone to uphold Aurora’s reputation through effective use of language, by defining and owning our in-house style, ensuring our messaging is clear and accurate, and ultimately ensuring a positive reading experience for our audiences.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Define and develop the Aurora house style and tone
- Proofread text to correct spelling, grammar and punctuation, and check readability, page layout, and adherence to the house style
- Collaborate with different teams within Aurora to create copy for multiple formats and online/offline channels
- Provide guidance and support to other team members on style and best practices
- Identify opportunities for process improvements

**Required attributes**:

- Passionate about effective use of language
- Superlative attention to detail
- Ability to write engagingly, clearly, creatively and with good logic, ensuring that content has correct punctuation, grammar, and syntax
- Comprehensive understanding of marketing copywriting best practices
- 2+ years of copy-editing experience in a fast-paced editorial or publishing environment
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite

**Desirable attributes**:

- A Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications or Marketing
- Familiar with AP style
- Experience with other types of media, eg television, newspapers, and social media
- Understanding of the energy industry
- Fluency in another European language
