We are now recruiting for a new Head of Procurement to manage their Packaging, Tolling & Logistics spend across the Global and EAME regions.

**Role purpose**
- Lead the EAME procurement team of the categories Packaging, Tolling and Logistics
- Lead the global procurement category Packaging functionally
- Lead the Global Packaging Network (Procurement, Packaging Technology, Manufacturing and Quality)
- Set and implement procurement strategies for areas of accountability, including risk management and sustainability
- Ensure alignment with global strategies and ways of working, and alignment with corporate strategic priorities
- Lead administratively and functionally a team of 10-15 procurement professionals who are dispersed across EAME
- Manage cross-regional and cross-functional (with e.g. manufacturing, regulatory, legal etc) cooperation. Lead or take part of projects.
- Bring in innovative solutions from suppliers that provide advantages in cost and/or quality of service or novel products
- Be an active member of the Regional P&S Leadership Team, Regional Formulation Fill & Pack Leadership Team as well as Global Direct Procurement Leadership Team

**Accountabilities**
- Lead and develop the procurement team (hiring, training, coaching, target setting, performance appraisal, conflict resolution, role profiles, budget etc )
- Ensure succession and individual development plans are in place for all team members.
- Ensure timely, qualitative, and competitive supply of selected procurement categories in EAME
- Ensure compliance with procurement guidelines and processes
- Manage purchasing expenditure of EAME Direct Procurement. Meet agreed targets and KPIs, in a sustainable way
- Ensure an improvement project pipeline is in place for the categories in scope.
- Develop and implement a procurement strategy for categories in scope, including key aspects such as risk management and sustainability
- Lead cross-functional and/or cross-regional teams
- Build strong relationships with the internal business partners in order to understand their needs, set sourcing priorities and KPIs, exchange strategies, challenge requirements of suppliers etc
- Develop and manage strategic relationships, including negotiation of major contracts and agreements, contract performance and service delivery of selected suppliers

**Education and Critical Experience**
- Engineer, master’s degree, MCIPS, MBA or similar
- Management experience in similar position
- Analytical skills
- Experience in matrix organization and cross functional project management
- Sound understanding of financial/ economic drivers and principles
- Ability to team build, network, and influence with a reach beyond the region
- Strong business partnering skills

**Salary**: £90,000.00-£95,000.00 per year
