We are seeking highly motivated **Credit Controller **to join our **EXPO44 **team in **Truro, Cornwall.**

**Position Overview**:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Credit Controller to join our dynamic team. As a Credit Controller, you will play a vital role within our finance department, ensuring efficient credit control operations and maintaining strong relationships with both external clients and internal stakeholders. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage all credit control aspects, including timely and accurate reconciliation of all incoming payments.
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure adherence to credit terms and resolve any outstanding issues promptly.
- Initiate and maintain regular communication with customers regarding overdue accounts, payment reminders, and collection efforts.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or disputes related to invoices, payments, and credit notes.
- Collaborate with the finance team to provide accurate and up-to-date information on outstanding debts and credit risks.
- Utilise financial software, such as Xero, to record and update customer account details, transactions, and notes.
- Prepare reports and analysis on credit control activities, aging debtors, and cash flow projections.
- Assist with the development and implementation of credit control policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and minimise credit risk.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure alignment on credit control processes and customer interactions.

Required Attributes:

- Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high degree of accuracy in all credit control activities.
- Curiosity and investigative mindset to identify and resolve discrepancies or issues proactively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.

Education & Experience:

- Minimum 1 year of previous experience in a Credit Control role, demonstrating a solid understanding of credit control processes and procedures.
- AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification is beneficial.
- Familiarity with financial software Xero, is advantageous.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve targets
- Knowledge of the tradeshow and exhibition industry is an advantage but not essential
