Advance the People Technology team by championing Data as part of world-wide Human Resource Information System programme, enabling the development and deployment of a single HRIS solution, aimed at positioning JD as an employer of choice.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team of multi-skilled, adaptable data specialists. We are looking for a Data Subject Matter Expert with knowledge of at least one of our main workstreams: Data Transformation, System Integration, Reporting and Analytics, along with a passion for learning new skills in this rapidly evolving workspace.

The JD People team puts the colleague at the heart of what we do to develop a level of service that emulates the JD brand and maximises colleague experience.

**Key Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Engaging in effective conversations around requirements and asking the right questions to scope and solve the requests
- Actively participate in knowledge transfer from vendor implementation specialists to ensure self-sufficiency and production readiness for support of the HRIS
- Undertake transformation analysis with data from multiple systems, including data rationalisation and mapping
- Prepare transformation utilities, dress rehearsal protocols, key process documentation and cut over activity planning support
- Identify potential risks and issues related to data conversion and system integration, working to avoid the risks and mitigate issues
- Identify data-related errors and resolve issues
- Partner with other technology groups (e.g., IT, Operations and Reward) to understand requirements to integrate systems and ensure effective deployment
- Support the end-to-end deployment (design, build, test) and ongoing maintenance of data flows across a wide array of functional areas
- Provide technical advice regarding data conversion, integration solution options, report building, analytics and data security
- Assist with the design and build of scalable monitoring operations for error handling and communication of data flow failures and resolution
- Recommend and implement policies/standards and offer technical solutions to gain process efficiency and improve data integrity
- Manage and meet multiple project deadlines and deliverables
- Support the Data Strategy in all aspects of your work

**Essential Skills/Experience/Knowledge**
- Ability to consider and evaluate solutions to problems under own initiative
- Experience of working with internal and external clients to advise on best working practice
- Elevated level of attention to detail with strong administrative and organisational skills and be able to prioritise your workload to meet strict deadlines
- Be aware of GDPR and be able to act with absolute discretion and confidentiality
- Be data curious, aware of how to use data effectively and aware of new/emerging trends in the data analytics space
- Ensure high data quality through regular quality checks
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VBA advantageous)
- Strong team player with ability to self-motivate and motivate others
- Confident and courteous in dealing with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong communication skills both written and oral

**Optional Skills/Experience/Knowledge**
- Experience with HCM solutions in a SaaS environment across multiple territories
- Ability to analyse complex data requirements with a view to the development of data conversion or providing analytic information
- Ability to create and maintain client ready data conversion requirements documents
- Experience in developing frameworks for data management and warehousing
- Gather and analyse data to guide decision making and improve performance
- Knowledge of SQL
- Exposure to reporting/analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, OBIEE, Looker)
- Understanding of broad data analytics methodologies; data storytelling; data products
- Awareness of version control concepts
