**Job Overview**
- We are currently recruiting for a Security Traffic Marshall/Banksman, responsible for the day-to-day directing and diverting of site traffic using correct hand signals and procedures The holding of site traffic in given positions, co-ordinating site traffic movements with Loading bay security for our client based in, Canary Wharf. This position calls for an organised team player, committed to achieving the highest standard of work within a busy corporate environment. With the secondary skill set of supporting the site security team who you will work under and report to th site security manager

**Main Duties**
- Communicating with drivers, site staff and visitors on the site traffic management system and process
- Communicating with drivers and guiding vehicles to ensure manoeuvres are conducted safely. As a signaller, you'd be critical to on-site health and safety.
- Implementing temporary segregation methods to safeguard the general public
- Taking appropriate action in the event of an accident, collision or dangerous occurrence
- Must hold SIA licence SG or DS
- Preferable banks man trained but not essential as training will be given, job role will be dependant in passing this qualification
- Checking vehicles entering and exiting loading bay filling out all relevant paper work
- Checking staff I.D entering the loading bay
- Security of the loading bay
- Responsible for the health and safety of the loading bay and car park, the reporting of all incidents, hazards and accidents with the onsite company H&S reporting system
- Will be required to attend the weekly H&S review boards and take an active part in site H&S
- Regular security patrols in the loading bay and car park
- Complete all onsite training programs
- Maintaining security and surveillance on-site.
- Recording deliveries and managing visitor log book.
- Ensuring that the correct PPE is worn.
- Ensuring that drivers and workers adhere to health and safety regulations on-site.
- Facilitating the movement of heavy vehicles on-site.
- Ensuring the safe movement of vehicles into and out of site.
- Preserving pedestrian and traffic routes outside of the site entrance.
- Directing road traffic when vehicles enter or exit the site.
- Responding to applicable ad hoc requests from on site management

Security and Health & Safety
- Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.
- Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.
- Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening.
- To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
- Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process.
- Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
- To ensure check calls are being carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI's).
- To call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.
